The Seven Sacraments of the Roman Catholic Church
Visible signs of God's invisible grace, instituted by Christ and entrusted to the Church.

Baptism
The sacrament of new life in Christ and entry into the Church.
Purpose: Forgives original sin and makes us children of God.

Confirmation
The sacrament that strengthens us with the gifts of the Holy Spirit.
Purpose: Deepens our Baptismal grace and empowers us to witness to Christ.

Eucharist
The sacrament of the Body and Blood of Christ.
Purpose: Nourishes us spiritually and unites us more closely to Christ and to one another.

Reconciliation
The sacrament of God’s divine mercy.
Purpose: Removes the stain of sin incurred after baptism and instills the grace of conversion.

Holy Orders
The sacrament through which men are ordained to serve as deacons, priests, or bishops.
Purpose: Equips men to serve the Church and lead God's people.

Anointing of the Sick
The sacrament of healing, strength, and comfort in illness or old age.
Purpose: Brings God's grace for healing of body, mind, and spirit and unites us to Christ's suffering.

Matrimony
The sacrament of the covenant between a man and a woman in marriage.
Purpose: Sanctifies and strengthens the couple's love and their vocation to build a Christian family.
THE SACRAMENTS ARE ENCOUNTERS WITH CHRIST WHO GIVES US HIS GRACE TO LIVE AS HIS DISCIPLES AND GROW IN HOLINESS.
